Last week, nagulat na lang ako sa nangyayari sa computer ako. Laging may nagpopop-up na mga ad, lalo na yung 180 search assistant na yun at kung ano-ano pa. At nakikita ko sa mga webpages ko na kusang nagkakaron ng mga links dun sa mga words by searchmiracle.com. Eto pa, dun sa blogger template ko, dun sa code ko for my background music, may lumalabas na code by searchmiracle na hindi ko naman nilagay, automatic syang napupunta dun. And, laging naghahang ang computer at web browser ko na dati namang hindi. Kaya, nagtataka talaga ako. Then I remember one article I read sa Gulf Times (it pays off to read) about mga spyware at mga adware na kusang pumapasok sa computer mo without your consent. So I did more research about these and this is what I found out:

Spyware: ito’y mga programs na automatic na nailalagay sa computer mo gathering your personal information.
Adware: from advertising, these are programs downloaded free from the web that will send marketing information online.

At yan ang reasons kung bakit nagloloko computer ko. At syempre, habang nagreresearch ako, may pumasok na naman sa search engine na naglalagay ng links sa mga words sa webpage. (bwiset!)

Manually ko tuloy inaalis ang mga ito dahil hindi ako pwede magdownload ng mga spy removal software dito kasi hindi daw ako administrator ng computer. So manually ko tinatanggal sa run through regedit. Natanggal ko na yung 180 assistant at search miracle, isa na lang hahanapin ko. Wish ko lang mahanap ko na sya at masakit ang nakatitig sa computer. Buti na lang may filter yung screen (thanks te malaine!)

Kaya kayo dyan, wag kayong download ng download ng kung ano-ano at tiyak ang dami nyo na ring adware, spyware at mga keyloggers jan sa computer system ninyo.

Here are some signs na may worms ang computer ninyo
1. Popup windows
2. Frequent computer crashes
3. Strange hard drive/modem behavior
4. Unusually slow computer and/or Internet connection
5. Stolen credit card numbers, identity theft, or phone charges to 1-900 numbers
buti naman at hindi pa nangyayari sakin yung number 5. at wag naman sana. Pero yung first four, manifested na talaga.
