I was watching TV Patrol earlier and sad to say, the same stories, those news that would make me want to stay at abroad longer.
1. The price of one LPG gas tank would go up as high as 500 pesos.
- As of now, I think the price for a tank is 400pesos. And because of the increase in the rate of the importation of oil, there’s no question that the price of LPG gas would also increase.
2. The price of one pandesal now is 2pesos each.
- Pandesal is one of my favourites. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think before, the price of one pandesal is only 50cents. And it went up to 1peso and now 2pesos! And the size, take note of the size. Sa pagkakakita ko sa TV kanina, the size of the one peso pandesal is only the size of a golf ball and the size of a 2peso- pandesal is about the size of a dalanghita. And they’re thinking of removing the 1peso pandesal in the market kasi wala na daw nakukuhang sustansya dito.
3. Crimes
- Sa araw-araw na lang ng panonood ko ng news, anjan yung mga crimes. Especially, snatching, robbery, and holdapping. Nakakatakot ng mamamalagi lalo na sa Manila.
4. Fares of taxi, jeepney and FX
- It was told earlier na maglalagay na ng metro sa FX at hindi na per head ang rate. I was thinking, pano nilala marerate yung fare, kung madaming nakasakay sa kanila tapos iba’t-iba ang destinations? Pano hahatiin yun? E di parang nagtaxi ka na rin… With the same rate and meter. That’s why a lot of people are not in favour of this. But the jeepney business is happy to hear that kasi mababalik na naman sa kanila ang passengers dahil sa mas mura ang rate nila..
Kaya nasabi na lang ng mother ko kanina, “Dito na lang tayo, wag na tayong umuwi.”

Is there any hope for Philippines to rise up again to its feet? Or will it continue to sink, driving the hearts of the people away from its own native land…
