Who will feel the most pain and hurt? The one who's leaving..or the one who's left behind?

I think, the one who's left behind will experience more loneliness than the one who's leaving. Because he will see and remember all the things and the places.. Unlike the other, he has a new environment..so there's not much to reminiscence..
